If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to stumble upon a hidden gem of a motorbike rally with fewer than 200 people but enough energy to power a juggernaut Harley on speed, let me introduce you to the Rusty Sprockets MCC – Moon rally 2024.
From the moment I rolled in—helmet hair and all—I was greeted like a long-lost cousin at a family BBQ. The organisers? Absolute legends.
Rusty Sprockets MCC aren’t just a club, they’re a full-service hospitality team with a side hustle in good vibes.
Need help? They’re there. Need a laugh? They’ve got weird and wonderful jokes. Need a beer? They’ve probably already handed you one and it was nice and
cold.
The bands – Loud enough to rattle your fillings and good enough to make you forget you were standing in a field.
The food – Let’s just say I considered proposing to the person who made the burgers.
The beer – Cold, plentiful, and possibly responsible for my interpretive dance routine during the headline act.
But the real star of the show for me – the ride there. Winding through the Welsh valleys and along the coast felt like being in a motorcycle commercial—minus the dramatic slow-motion shots (though I’m sure I looked just as cool). Honestly, the journey alone was worth the trip.
Would I go again? In a heartbeat. In fact, I might just start riding there now and camp out until next year.
