⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Frostbite, Fire Pits & a Bloke in My Tent – 10/10 Would Rally Again!”
If you’ve ever thought, “You know what would be a great idea? A motorbike rally in November in Wales,” then congratulations—you might be as gloriously unhinged as the Welsh Coast MCC. And I mean that in the best possible way.
The Welsh Coast Winter Rally 2024 was held at the Royal British Legion in Gorseinon (yes, that glamorous hotspot), this rally had fewer than 200 people but more personality than a soap opera Christmas special. It was cold. Like, “I-can-see-my-breath-and-my-soul” cold. But fear not—there were plenty of warm spots, including fire pits, heated rooms, and apparently… my tent.
Yes, on the first night, I returned to my humble nylon abode to find a man already asleep in it. I don’t know who he was, but he looked peaceful, so I told him to go away. But did think ‘Sharing is caring, right?
The alcohol – Priced like it was still 1999 and tasted like happiness in a cup. The bands – Loud, brilliant, and just the right amount of chaotic. The silly games – I’m still not entirely sure what I participated in, but I’m 90% certain I won something. Or lost. Hard to say….
The raffle prizes were top-notch, the vibes were immaculate, and the Welsh Coast MCC? Absolute heroes. They didn’t just organise the event—they lived it. They drank with us, danced with us, and made sure everyone had a blast (and possibly a mild hangover).
Would I go again? In a heartbeat. Just maybe next time I’ll zip up my tent.
