Orgasmatron
Band review by Togs 29th November 2006
Orgasmatron sounds like some dodgy lay-by dogging password, that enters you into the world of car window licking and pocket fumbling, but no. They are a metal band based around the Cheltenham area, and I think they're bloody good. I know Paul, their lead guitar, he has pestered me for ages to come to one of there gigs, so under the immense pressure, and just plain old curiosity, I donned the leather jacket with 15 year old thread-bear Metallica t-shirt and my bestest boots, put the keys in the ignition and I was off. A quick 5 miles down the road plus a couple knobhead car drivers and I have arrived at what can only be described as well, "a shit hole" which suits me fine. I found the band, who were in good spirits, not at all due to the strange looking rollups they were all smoking with a slightly aromatic whiff. They told me that they have just been in the studio recording some stuff. If by stuff they meant what they played at the gig, well then its good stuff, they are a mix of Metallica, Maiden and a bit of there own ingredient, they have there own songs as well as doing the old 'Smoke on the Water' plus some other good covers. Judging by the crowd and a few groupies, these boys done good, everyone had a great night, and I rode home with my ears ringing and head banging, always a sign of a good one.
Don't just take my word for it, check them out at www.myspace.com/orgasmatronrocks
